About the Department
Global Financial Institutions (GFI) is a commercial banking business focused on developing and maintaining relationships with domestic and international financial institutions (FI), central banks, international non-bank FIs, sovereign wealth funds, multilateral institutions and agencies. GFI operates under much the same relationship model as Wells Fargo’s Corporate and Commercial Banking divisions, but with a pure focus on the global client segments noted above.

GFI has developed relationships with more than 3,200 financial institutions worldwide and currently services customers in over 130 countries through a strong delivery network of 600 team members across 40+ offices.

The Non Bank Financial Institutional (NBFI) relationship coverage group and Global Relationship Management (GRM) team has just been established within the Global Financial Institutions division. The NBFI team is focused on developing a relationship coverage capability for insurance companies, asset managers, pension funds and sovereign wealth funds outside of the United States. The team will be responsible for all credit and compliance matters in addition to the cross-selling of products such as Asset Management, FX, Derivatives, Capital Market Solutions, Payments Treasury Management
 

Responsibilities
The primary areas of responsibility for the role are as follows:
- The incumbent of this role is expected to both lead and coordinate strategic initiatives and projects related to the establishment and ongoing management support of this business.
- Act as project manager for key projects/initiatives/new products as requested by internal/external stakeholders, driving execution to meet established goals.
- Responsible for the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners. Works with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy/policies and business line objectives.
- Play a key role in both tactical, medium and long-range planning and strategy implementation including infrastructure issues and execution of the strategic plan.
- Tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.
- Responsible for managing the relationship management/sales/administrative support functions for NBFI and GRM.
- Coordinate and facilitate service implementation, customer service, compliance, risk management, finance, operational risk, human resources, business continuity, real estate planning for NBFI and GRM initiatives on a global basis working closely with European, Asian, Middle Eastern and U.S. based support partner teams in those functional areas.
- Play a leadership role in coordinating and establishing new product modification, policy and procedures and approval initiatives ensuring compliance with the relevant internal policies and external regulatory rules and guidance.
- Responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategise, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives.
- Understand and review financial results and coordinate revenue and shadow revenue attribution within group.
 

Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Understanding and experience of the Non-Bank Financial Institutions segment and the various products relevant to the segment.
- Strong analytic and strategic thinker.
- Good knowledge of international business and international financial services with a demonstrated ability to work across multiple lines of businesses. Strong skills in the areas of strategic thinking, problem solving, relationship management, and communications.
- Broad knowledge of Wholesale Banking business and products.
- Excellent process, execution and decision-making skills.
- Successful track record of driving/managing cross-organizational initiatives and delivering tangible results.
- Experience in and/or exposure to international business, operational and regulatory environment.
- Ability to effectively lead in a matrix management environment.
- Proven influencing skills, effective communication skills with senior executives.
- Excellent judgment strong people skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with appropriate prioritisation.  

Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree / MBA / Masters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Microsoft Project/Visio
Knowledge of second language a plus.
