Business Manager recruitment
Summary:
Our client is a leading Chinese financial institution that is expanding rapidly in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for a high calibre to join their COO office as Business Manager
Working closely with all back office departments (including Human Resources, Finance and Tax, Operations, CRES, IT, Legal and Compliance, Audit, Global marketing and communication, etc.) across the region and global COO counterparty to provide business and administrative support
Responsibilities:
Revenue and Expenses/MIS/Reporting
- Identification and resolution of revenue recognition issues
- Management and maintenance of static data such as team hierarchy, client hierarchy in revenue system
- Revenue and Expenses forecast and budgeting
- Client and business planning
- Streamline expense reimbursement booking against revenue process
- Weekly/monthly revenue/expense management reporting
- Review of expense approval hierarchy and limits
- Global Transfer Tax review with external auditors
- Roll out of new pipeline system, individual bankers performance measurement, global expense system
- Refining the revenue and expense booking process
- Integration of client contact management database
- Coordination of new business initiatives and projects
Control and Compliance
- Control /Audit issue review and resolution of audit issues or enhancement of current operational process
- Management and maintenance of deal files and related documentation
- Regular review and approval access of shared drives, revenue system, IBD floor, market data
- Quarterly reminder of Transaction Notification requirement
- Semi-annual review of disclaimer in marketing/presentation materials
- Preparation and regular update of Business Contingency Management plan
- Coordination and review of Internal Announcement
- Preparation of information/presentation for regulators/internal audit visits
Human Resources
- Review of benefits/bonus/salary increment/compensation packages for new hires
- Coordination of hiring of professionals, graduates and internships, transfers, short-term assignments, temps and exits
- Coordination of promotion nominations, yearly bonus review and bonus communication process
- Coordination of the performance appraisal process
- Position management administration of new joiner/transfer/change in reporting line in HR system
- Headcount budgeting and headcount tracking against budget
Administrative Support
- Management of administrative and secretarial support
- Space planning and management
- Upgrade of IT equipments and streamline the market data requirement
- Preparation of Management Presentations
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Accounting, Business Administration or relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5 years’ of experience in banking industry with good understanding in IT Operations area
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize and identify potential issues with good problem-solving skills
- Good written spoken communication skills in English and Mandarin
