Business Preformance Manager (Rotation) recruitment

Unique and exciting opportunity to join one of the world's leading banking groups within their Group Business Performance team, in a highly analytical and business focused role with high exposure to senior stakeholders and the business. The Performance Management team works closely with the Group's businesses to provide insight and establish expectations around their future and in-year performance, and then holding them accountable for subsequent delivery of that performance. Their analysis is provided directly to the Group FD, Executive Committee and the Board as well as a number of sub-committees (e.g. treasury, finance, returns)

The successful candidate will be given a unique opportunity to rotate around all areas of business performance allowing them maximum exposure to all areas of the bank and the business.

Responsibilities include:

Forecasting and Planning
· Engage with the businesses and Group Centre functional teams to co-ordinate, review and challenge inputs (financial, non-financial) into the forecasting (RAF) and planning (MTP, STP) deliverables sent to the Group FD/FC, the Executive Committee and Board
· Provide insightful analysis and written commentary demonstrating keen understanding of key drivers, KPIs and underlying business performance
· Help team develop the storyboard and content focus for each planning cycle, and design and own specific outputs/pages sent to ExCo and Board
· Own aspects of the process management (instructions, excel templates, data submissions) and control environment supporting delivery of outputs

Capital, Returns Competitors
· Build analytical tools to produce accurate and robust analysis of capital allocation and returns across all Business Performance processes
· Build, maintain and enhance Excel capital models, and Hyperion based tools
· Liaise with business BPA teams, Treasury and Financial Control to co-ordinate capital metric reporting, and resolve process and content issues
· Provide insightful analysis on key business drivers and optimisation of returns and capital consumption as well as input/commentary into capital team deliverables
· Produce scenario modelling to support senior management decision-making
· Contribute to the preparation and analysis of the banks performance versus its peers; develop and communicate insights by reviewing analyst notes and writing commentary

The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, and be recently qualified ACA or equivalent, from a top tier accountancy practice, ideally with Financial Services exposure.
