Business Project Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment have been exclusively retained by The Pensions Regulator in Brighton, East Sussex, to recruit a Business Project Manager on a fixed term contract to run through until the end of June 2014. The role is to support the delivery of the Pensions Regulators Strategic CRM Programme, but the broader project management skills of business analysts are required, rather than IT project managers.       

The Pensions Regulator is the UK regulator of work-based pension schemes. Their principal aim is to prevent problems from developing. Using their powers flexibly, reasonably and appropriately, with the aim of putting things right and keeping schemes on the right track for the long term.

Responsibilities of the jobholder will be to: 
 
· Ensure Day to day responsibility for the coordination of critical path activities across the CRM programmes full life cycle delivery phase, as agreed by the CRM Programme Manager.
· Create and maintenance of key project control products during the life of the project, from problem statement to closure report, following internal processes and standards.
· Developing and maintain key project control products during the life cycle of the programme.
· Develop and maintain effective project plans, resource plans and budgets to support the project.
· Reporting status, risk and issues to the project sponsor, project board and other governance bodies as appropriate.
· Identify risks and issues and developing effective mitigation strategies, including revised delivery approaches or proposals for changes to scope and deliverables where necessary.
· Eliciting business requirements ensuring that requirement are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
Essential criteria:
· Considerable and demonstrable project management experience (5 years +), practical background/experience of change management
· Experience of working with Prince II and with project management methodology and standards
· Experience of enterprise CRM and/or BPM project delivery
· Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among programme stakeholders
· Working knowledge of I.T systems, I.T. development methodologies
