Business Quality & Risk Manager recruitment
Purpose of role: The role holder must maintain the dual on both Business Quality as well as Risk Management, ensuring that the Business can independently monitor and manage its own exposures and performance in this regard, without unnecessary intervention from central Control Functions (e.g. Operational Risk, Compliance, etc) who should act in an advisory and oversight capacity only.
Secondly, the role holder must establish appropriate forums with, and drive close collaboration amongst, their peers operating in different Businesses and Regions within Wealth’s global organisation, ensuring consistency of approach for all aspects of Business Quality and Risk Management (e.g. methodology, frameworks, toolsets, reporting MI, etc)
Main responsibilities
- He/She will provide strategic direction in all aspects of Business Quality and Risk Management, and drive collaboration across the Front Office teams to ensure consistency of approach. He/She will ensure that the Front Office Team has all the necessary tools to deliver high quality standard.
- He/she will drive forward advances in Business Quality monitoring within the Business environment, and the production of comprehensive Reporting MI via a central dashboard for consumption by Senior Management.
- He/She will support the Head of Business Control Governance in its Risk Management function and its surveillance function.
- He/She will support the Compliance function in their periodic and independent Surveillance of the Business environment, facilitating access to appropriate documents, files, systems and staff as requested. Similarly, the Role Holder will co-ordinate the Business throughout Internal / External Audits, and oversee the completion of all remedial actions resulting from Internal / External scrutiny
- He/she will support the Business Management team in driving and landing any Business Control Governance related projects at their team level.
Required Profile
- University degree in Finance/Economics
- Sound professional experience in all aspects of Business Quality and Operational Risk, and able to apply this within a Wealth Management context.
- Strong knowledge of private banking environment
- Experience in Audit/Compliance an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a critical requirement of the position. French is a plus.
- Strong IT skills, advanced level of Excel
