Business Risk Assurance Manager, Hong Kong recruitment
Reporting to the Singapore office, the incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
- Development of a comprehensive risk and control assessment for all aspects of risk and reviewing this with the business.
- Ensuring that a comprehensive risk based control monitoring program exists across the function, evidencing the adequacy and effectiveness of key controls.
- Development of a strong risk awareness and client fairness culture across all aspects of the business.
- Escalation, reporting, provision of advice and challenge in relation to loss event resolution, business process change and product development.
- Participation in risk review forums and active contribution to other Products and Services Governance forums.
- Developing and managing complex risk management frameworks across multiple disciplines (e.g. investment and treasury related businesses)
- Strong technical understanding of financial products, services and operational processes
- Oversight of the external risk and regulatory landscape
- Co-ordination of a high quality quarterly risk certification routine across Products and Services
- Membership of Products and Services governance bodies
- Effective discharge of all necessary process and team governance routines
- Maintain up to date awareness of industry trends and ensure personal growth in line with development plan agreed
To be successful, the incumbent should possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a private banking environment performing a similar function in areas such as Sales Performance, Business Risk, Client Services Risk;
- Good working knowledge of regulatory requirements by HKMA;
- Good working knowledge of treasury-related financial instruments;
- Prior team management experience; and
- Strong written and communication skills.
