Business Risk Manager, Private Equity and Investment Fund
Our client is a leading UK private equity fund, who are now looking to add a Business Risk Manager to their team.
The role will encompass both new investments and also exisiting companies, portfolios and assets into which the fund has invested or lent. The firm has multiple investment strategies including both equity and debt and they are extremely busy at the moment.
Day to day, your role will involve meeting companies and management to assess risk, and agreeing strategies and solutions to maximize return on investment and reducing the risk of loss. This will involve you acting as the interface between the fund and the investee companies, ensuring that solutions are implemented in the business.
Its a hands on commercial role requiring an experienced professional. You will probably be a qualified accountant with a major accounting firm, and could now work in a range of areas including corporate turnaround, risk management, corporate finance or business management.
Key is personality - you need to be articulate, bright and outgoing and able to work effectively and immediately with senior management,
