Business Strategy Manager to work with the Collaboration Technology group VP and SVP level senior leadership team to define and help execute our end to end collaboration strategy. In addition, work very closely with senior Collaboration leadership in Sales, Channel, and Services to align strategies and create and drive critical growth initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Unify across the multiple Collaboration BUs and Technology groups with a compelling 3 year strategic plan
• Help define and drive critical FY13 business priorities (CTG's VSEM)
• Help define a winning competitive strategy against Microsoft, Google, Avaya, Polycom, and Shoretel that strengthens our medium and long term position in the marketplace
• Recommend the Collaboration Group's portfolio strategy to optimize its $1 billion RD spend and align it with FY13-15 strategic priorities
• Drive mergers and acquisitions strategy working with Cisco Corporate Development
• Develop new business plans and creation of new services
• Go to market strategy creation
• Revenue, market share, and profitability modeling
• Engage internally on strategic initiatives in the product development organization to identify new business opportunities, as well as product innovations that create substantial business value to clients
• Shape the industry understanding of the tangible value of collaboration technologies at highly visible, major industry events, new product introductions and analyst roundtables
• Develop insightful content and thought leadership on new technology discontinuities that will impact or business (as well as recommendations on how to react to those discontinuities and trends to improve our competitive position, market share, and revenues
• Partner and collaborate with multiple constituents within Cisco and with Cisco's partners
• Play an integral role in driving internal strategy projects for Cisco's market expansion into adjacent Enterprise Collaboration market segments

Abilities and Key Competencies Required

• 5+ years strategic consulting (including new business creation experience)
• 7-10 years business management experience, preferably in the financial or manufacturing industry
• CXO presence and ability to orchestrate complex large scale customer engagements
• Quantitative analytical skills in financial modeling
• Working knowledge of trends and innovations in communications ( voice, data, video, mobility) and internet related fields
• Creative "out of the box" thinker
• Demonstrated positive influence skills
• Effective team building collaboration skills with strategic and tactical organizations
• Focused on results oriented performance with customers and employer
• Strong management judgment skills including organization, self-motivation, prioritization skills

Other Requirements/ Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technical subject required; MBA required unless outweighed by industry experience
