Business Support Manager Asset Servicing
Full Job Description
The Business Support Manager (BSM) will report to the Business Support Function Manager (BSFM) and will manage team(s) of business technical analysts in a specific region (can be more than one location e.g. UK = 2 locations) .
The BSM is responsible for efficient use of his-her team resources and for oversight of the team projects. He-she will ensure project allocation is in line with staff skills and development requirements. The BSM will take some direction from BSFM for large projects requests or where there are conflicts of business priorities. The remit of projects supported by the BSM`s team will be for the assigned function within Securities Operations in line with the organizational structure of this division within Asset Servicing.
The BSM will be responsible for ensuring that his-her team`s project deliverables fulfil the business requirements for the assigned function. Any project that impacts the assigned functions` operational areas will fall into the BSM`s remit. Projects will cover global markets for the assigned function and focus on the development and implementation of a continuous improvement strategy including process improvements, productivity enhancements, cost reduction and efficiency gains as well as, new products and services, industry initiatives and regulatory changes.
Projects will also include working with Technology to implement solutions to issues that impact the ability of the business to conduct their normal operations. The BSM may
Strong knowledge of the Asset Servicing business, its products and technologies.
Asset servicing experience required to be able to understand impact to assigned function during strategic and-or cross-functional projects or when overseeing team projects.
Knowledge must be sound enough to be able to understand high level impact to other Securities Operations functions and Asset Servicing business areas.
Must be adept at identifying risks and issues
Degree preferred.
Professional project management qualification preferred.
Project Management experience.
Custody Background.
Operations background preferred.
