Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst will report to Director of IT

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working closely with the Trading, Portfolio Management, Operations and other business teams, the Business Systems Analyst
under limited supervision provides functional support by being the main liaison between business users, primarily with
the Fixed Income Portfolio Management Team, and technical team to identify, analyze and translate needs into specifications
and implement solutions.  The candidate will collaborate closely with the business and technology team to participate in
the definition and execution of a long-term strategy for the Fixed Income team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• As a part of technology team, work closely with Portfolio Managers, Trading and Operations team to implement the Firm's
business solutions on trading, pricing, valuation and risk analysis on both Fixed Income and Equity side.
• Primarily responsible for production and development efforts supporting Fixed Income and Equity on –security master,
market data, trade and confirm, cash and FX settlement instructions, posting to accounting, reconciliation to custodians
and brokers, collateral management, and performance measurement
• Enhance and manage the existing Risk Management tools for the Fixed Income Portfolio.
• Translate business requirements into technical design specs
• Work with cross-functional teams developing business and systems requirements, user interface design, data modeling,
systems designs and systems interface specifications
• Gather and document business requirements and functional specs
• Develop new workflows or modify existing workflows to meet business requirements
• Manage the internal customer relationship
• Coordinate software implementations and upgrades with software vendors and outside consultants
• Document results of data analysis in a comprehensive yet clear and concise manner and write databases queries to
provide data extracts and reports

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience in International Equities and Fixed Income securities including Corporate, Government, Convertible and
locally-denominated bonds.
• At least 5 years in the asset management business providing and supporting business solutions
• BS is required (preferred, not required) with relevant coursework in CSE and/or finance
• Hands-on with the SQL statements, MS SQL Server, Visual Basic, Excel Macro Programming.
• Interface expertise including developing new interfaces, updating existing requirements and troubleshooting issues.
• Detail oriented with the ability to understand and maintain sight of the big picture on a project
• Must have experience with order management system, and/or portfolio management systems
• Experience with the following Preferred: Factset Charles River, Geneva, FIX, OMGEO/Global OASYS/CTM
