Business Analyst
LOCATION: Charlotte or (Des Moines, Chandler, Minneapolis)
LENGTH: 9 + month contract
PAY: Depends on experience
Must be eligible to work in the US w/o sponsorship
Job Description: Consultant will acts as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes. Prepares specifications for system changes. Recommends and initiates systems testing. Acts as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition/improvement to re-engineer technical processes for greater efficiencies. Provides direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
Required Skills:
Consultant should have a 4 year degree plus 7-10 yrs experience related to the below skills
International technical knowledge, such as data
International laws that impact technical aspects (data, voice)
International risk knowledge to know when to engage risk and legal for vetting
Skills/Minimum qualifications:
Technical proficiency: Will need experience with the following infrastructure (desktops, voice, file/print servers, storage). Prefer some international knowledge, but not required.
Strong spreadsheet, tracking and communication skills: Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, charts, etc.), PowerPoint and sharepoint
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to work in a global environment
Must enjoy Research and making sense of complex concepts
Must be flexible with schedule to occasionally accommodate Hong Kong, London and other non-US time zones
Desired Knowledge of Remedy Configuration Management Database SOR
Ability to translate strategies and infrastructure roadmaps into tactical planning deliverables that will support remediation and IT consistency for International infrastructure
