Description
- Partner with Equities management and trading and sales desk heads, to ensure the efficient administration of the business.
- Collaborate closely with Middle Office, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Product Control and Technology teams to ensure the business is run in strict compliance with all internal and regulatory standards.
- Manage and improve business metrics and key performance indicators.
- Lead expense/cost efficiency analysis (including brokerage, custody and execution fees).
- Coordinate financial reporting, planning/budgeting and product/salesperson/client profitability analysis.
- Lead and manage Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and various committee meetings as needed.
- Represent the business in the resource prioritization process across the Technology and Middle Office organizations.
- Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve the business objectives of the Americas management team. Projects may be related to revenue growth, expense reduction and process improvement.
- Optimize various front-to-back office trade booking flows, including secondary trading and syndicate deals.
- Coordinate all aspects of obtaining New Product Approval Committee (NPAC) approval for new initiatives.
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Equities business front to back including derivatives and cash and its associated processes.
- Understand the key financial drivers of the business from top line revenues and expenses as well as down to the trade and client level economics.
- Understand the importance of technology and operational/financial control to the success of the business.
- Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross functional teams without direct management authority.
- Foster excellent relationships between the business and the control functions.
- Ability to operate at a high level with Americas Equities trading, sales teams and management teams.
- Expert MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the global equities business, its products and processes and how it operates within a large organization.
- Build strong leadership and managerial skills
- Build effective prioritization skills as the job entails dealing with multiple conflicting priorities in a time sensitive environment.
