Buy-Side Equity Trader / Operations Manager
Scharf Investments, LLC, is a successful registered investment advisor (RIA) in the South San Francisco Bay Area with AUM in excess of $1.4 billion. The firm’s rapid growth offers advancement potential for the right individual. We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in trading and operations. The firm's flagship Scharf Equity product is Morningstar 5-Star rated and attracting national and international attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with premier financial institutional partners’ operations and trading departments.
- Trade execution using MOXY and APL applications.
- Maintaining WRAP accounts to ensure they conform with the firm’s model portfolios.
- Maintaining trading restrictions for portfolios.
- Portfolio maintenance including account reconciliation via Advent AXYS.
- Ongoing support for Portfolio Managers and the Research Team.
- Maintaining a culture of compliance in all aspects of equity trading.
- Candidate must be diligent, attentive to detail, hardworking, and have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience working in a similar position within an RIA or brokerage firm.
- Familiarity with Advent’s AXYS or APX, MOXY Order Management System, and APL.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment products and services.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word Outlook.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg is a plus.
