RESPONSIBILITIES
 
- Processes orders with application of the ERP system, i.e. Visual Manufacturing - Maintain ERP material data as directed by Strategic Sourcing - Convert requisitions to purchase orders - Expedite supplier deliveries as necessary and monitor supplier performance closely - Manage rescheduling of direct materials as required - Resolve any invoice and payment issues - Manage complaints to suppliers (delivery issues and/or quality) - Participate in global initiatives for improving performance of global suppliers - Negotiation of prices, payment terms and lead times as well as implementing PFEP agreements - Support requests to identify new suppliers or get quotes from new / Honeywell preferred suppliers - Support reporting, e.g. OTD, OTTR, OTTP, PPV, WALT, AWPT. - Close cooperation with key functions like Strategic Sourcing, ISC, Quality and product management - Support NPI initiatives and new product launch - Effective communication to site suppliers of HON policies relating to supplier performance, working capital initiatives and other sourcing initiatives that affect the supply chain.

 

Basic Qualifications:
 
- 5+ years experience in Sourcing/Procurement/Supply Chain - 3+ years experience in manufacturing - Bachelors degree in Engineering or business related field or a Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
 
 
Additional Qualifications:
 
- Ability to effectively use Visual Manufacturing, knowledge of SAP a plus. - CPIM/CPP/SCMP certified/Sourcing qualification an advantage. - Experience in Lean Production or TPS. Familiar with Kanban, VMI, and Pull system. - Capability to interpret key sourcing index and drive continuous improvement. - Demonstrated ability to successfully use negotiation skills. - Good understanding of the importance of the strategic sourcing function within a lean manufacture organization - Understanding of operations management and supply chain processes and principles within an organization - Understanding of legal/contractual agreements - Multitask and high-paced player with business urgency - Ability to Microsoft Office suite of products (including but not limited to: Word, Excel Outlook)
