C, C++ Systems Engineer

Current Need

Position is located at the RelayHealh office just off I-85 and North Druid Hills.

Ability to isolate and indentify root cause issues with performance and execution across a diverse set of operating platforms using multiple tools.

Ability to design and develop applications for an environment with extremely high uptime requirements for real time services.

Experience in providing application execution and operational support including off hours support

Desire and capability to learn new technologies such as OS and programming languages quickly

Provide feedback and guidance on potential technical directions based on requirements.

Ability to assess hardware and database utilization to assist in performance planning.

Develops and reviews operator instructions as well as creation of job scripting.

Prepares and conducts system and application tests to support validation and reliability.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years experience in systems programming

Experience in some or all of the following along with a high level of proficiency in one C/C++, Java, Microsoft C#.NET

Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and web-based development using Microsoft .NET

Platforms: Hp NonStop, Windows, Unix and Linux. The most heavily used is Hp NonStop and Unix followed closely by Windows.

Tools include: Eclipse, emacs, CVS, Requesttracker, Perl, OSS, pathway

Areas of knowledge include communication protocols including TCP/IP Sockets, SSL, HTTP, X.25. Also working with XML

Education

4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
