Job Responsibilities: Day-to-day job responsibilities include application development and testing of new Commodity Exotic and Index applications. These applications will enhance the current solution which has been running from multiple global locations for around three years. The new functionality will include improved trade capture, risk management, trade-lifecycling and reporting functionality, initially concentrating on the Commodity Index business. The successful candidate will benefit from daily exposure to front-office and the supporting areas. Work items will primarily be development of high quality, robust integrated application components. All team members are expected to contribute to and drive stability and efficiency improvements. The team follows agile principles and ability to communicate effectively within IT and with non-IT stakeholders is vital. Job Qualifications:
- Core Java and Core C# development experience (preferably .net4.0)
- Strong experience with implementing large-scale Windows Forms (or WPF) solutions.
- Experience in building multi-threaded server applications.
- Experience with implementing pub/sub solutions (preferably Tibco EMS)
- Database experience (preferably Oracle)
- XML and related technologies
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience of working in an agile development team (continuous builds, unit Derivatives experience
Considered a plus:
- Commodities knowledge (preferably Index)
- Grid computing (preferably Symphony)
- Experience with WCF
- Spring.Net Framework, nHibernate
- Core Java skills and experience (for comprehension of current architecture)
- Linux/Unix skills
- Spring
