Front Office C# Developer - London - Hedge Fund
London based Hedge Fund looking for very strong C# Programmer to work on Front Office Trading applications.
Position Background:
An opportunity exists for a C# developer within London Development team. This team is very much a business facing one working very closely with traders to develop and further enhance our in-house developed trading graphical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Produces the fastest and best trading tools by: Actively seeking and clarifying product requirements with end users and other knowledgeable staff Meeting and exceeding end users expectations in terms of functionality, quality and performance Designing and delivering code with automated testing performance always in front of mind Producing meaningful unit-tests, documentation configuration to support all code developed Provide post-implementation support to users and IT operations to resolve critical issues and bugs promptly
Improves our development speed by ensuring that: All software created is of the highest levels of quality, achieves the companies standards with respect to performance, documentation, testability, robustness and that code review processes etc are followed Providing feedback on above standards, and suggesting alternatives and refinements
The chosen solution does not limit future development Actively engaging as a Team Member in the Scrum development process Projects are carried out in full collaboration with colleagues across the business/offices.
If ths opportunity sounds of interest then you will need to have excellent skills in the following:
- Exceptional C# skills: .NET 3.5/4, asynchronous programming, Linq
- Strong Object Oriented design skills
- Multithreaded C# development, experience in developing with WinForms
- Understanding and experience in performance-critical GUI development
-MS SQL Server 2008 (desirable)
- Prior Front Office interaction with traders on a daily basis.
