My client, a niche hedge fund, is actively looking for junior trainee developers to work on brand new in-house applications specializing in fixed income technology.
You will be rapidly designing and developing front-office desk-based tools which bridges back to core technology systems. By sitting directly on the trading floor, you will be working closely with the trading desks as well as other regional development teams in Europe and the Americas; gaining high trader visibility and extensive interaction.
Training is especially important to my client and you will undergo an intensive development training program with a mentor that will prepare you to succeed in your role.
Specifically, my clients are looking for sharp candidates who are open-minded and are capable of learning things quickly. The ideal candidate will have a confident personality who is able to take initiative and communicate new ideas effectively.
Key Technical Skills:
- Any OO language, but C# is highly preferred
- Oracle
- Visual studio
Previous rapid application development (RAD) and C# experience would be a definite advantage.
Background:
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related degree
- 0-2 years of working experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Financial Markets knowledge, especially Fixed Income knowledge would be a bonus
