C++ Developer * World class buy side firm * London * £150-200K recruitment
This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for any technologist interested in joining an outstanding buy side systematic trading unit. They are ideally looking for a junior / mid-level C++ developer with an impressive academic background in Computer Science or Software Engineering with 1-3yrs experience within a software development job where you will have been exposed to the design, development and deployment of large complex software projects. This team are deeply technical and most of the developers come from a low level C/ C++ (or Java) programming background. The culture of this team is very cooperative and friendly and unlike many finance houses they actively promote a healthy work life balance.
Level - c.18mths - 3yrs experience ideally
• Exceptional undergraduate degree from top university in computer Science/Engineering (ideally). Strong A-level results (or equivalent) is also a must.
• Technology: C++, Linux mainly + some Java.
• Familiarity with Databases (particularly in Oracle, SQL) and scripting languages.
• Knowledge of multithreading, socket level programming, core algorithms and data structures
• All of these development positions will sit directly with Quant Research and Trading (with access to the models and trading strategies for those that are interested).
• They are looking also looking for individuals to take responsibility and work independently.
