This role is a global US investment banking giant with a reputation for its cutting edge and industry leading trading systems, and state of the art technology. Within the firm?s Fixed Income arm they have begun a unique and revolutionary Greenfield project, all with the stated aim of propelling itself to the very forefront of the trading systems? technology, utilizing the latest tools and technologies available. Within this Fixed Income and Currencies division, the firm is seeking to build its next generation trading, pricing, risk and analytics systems entirely in Python and C++. As such they have identified a need for a senior VP-Director with expertise in C++ and-or Python to join the firm and be part of this revolutionary project. The succesful candidate does not need to know Python previosuly, but must be willing to learn-work in it. This opportunity will enable the successful developer to design and architect the project from start to finish, as well as to gain extensive exposure to the Front Office and the business, liaising directly with the traders and quants to identify their needs and implement them in the design of the new system. The compensation for this role will be very competitive and will reflect the importance and prestige this project has for the bank. Their stated aim is to develop state of the art systems at the very forefront of recent technological advances, which are the envy of all their competitors in this space.

• Excellent C++ skills
• Knowledge of Python (Expertise welcomed but not essential)
• Knowledge of trading systems development strongly preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Degree in Computer Science-Physics-Maths or related subject (Masters-PhD preferred)

• Architect and design firms next generation trading-pricing-risk system from scratch
• Design and development in C++-Python
• Liaise with traders-Quants-Senior management to understand specifications and implement joint ideas
• Front Office interaction with the business within Fixed Income and Currencies
The ideal candidate will need C++-python skills and the ability to thrive in a challenging and very fast paced Front Office trading environment. Strong communication skills are essential, given that they will need to work directly with quants and traders to implement their ideas to architect and design the system. The firm is open and collaborative and want developers who have the confidence to express their ideas, in tandem with the needs of the quants and traders.
