Our client is a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded nearly 15 years ago in New York that now has a global presence in the UK, the USA and Asia. The firm specialises in quantitative trading and investment strategies, and engages in prop trading over exchanges, MTFs, and other markets globally.
The successful candidate will expand their trading capabilities on markets around the world through developing, optimising and re-designing their low-latency high-throughput production trading environment which collects data from and disseminates orders to exchanges around the world.
You will optimise their trading platform by using network and systems programming, as well as other advanced techniques. The end result will be the provision of trading systems and platforms that provide easy access to historical market data and trading simulations for Traders and Researchers.

Your profile
- A MSc. in Computer Science from a globally elite institution.
- 2-4 years hands on finance industry based C++ (including STL and Boost) low-latency, high throughput multi-threaded development within a Linux-based environment.
- A strong background in working with data structures and algorithms.
- Comfortable working with Python or Perl, and Shell Scripting.
- Outstanding record of academic achievement – top of class rank and GPA; medals, Olympiad success.
- Strong quantitative skills and the willingness and ability to work in partnership with Ph.D level quantitative traders.
- Team orientated / collaborative personality who is innovative, pro-active and convincing in terms of finding solutions.
