The successful candidate will have a related Associate Degree with 8 years of experience or 12 total years of experience in lieu of degree. Specific skills shall include experience and qualifications as an Aviation Communication System Technician. Marine Corps Operations as it applies to Tactical Radios and radio circuits to include VHF, UHF, HF and SATCOM and strong working knowledge of Distributed scalable Access Networks (DSN) and Communication Integrated Systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills, experience in the teaching of adults, strong written communications skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills, commitment to customer service, ability to manage and meet deadlines, proactive in identifying and solving problems, computer literate in appropriate software packages, ability to understand and implement standards, ability to communicate abstract ideas in concrete terms for the adult user. Must have a comprehensive understanding of Marine Corps Operations, Command and Control Suites, and qualified to operate tactical radios. Military Instructor qualifications are highly desired.
Working Conditions: Work is based in highly stressful environments at times. Work is performed in classroom settings, Field Operations, Marine Corps Bases, Oversea and other military installations. Position requirements may be performed inside and outside areas as well as in inclement weather conditions; may include extensive heat and extensive cold working and high humidity atmospheres. The position may include a substantial amount of travel within the Continental US and OVERSEAS.
Physical Requirements: This position requires a medical screening to ensure the instructor fully meets the general duty criteria per OPNAVINST 6110.1H to include the following: must be able to stand for long periods of times in all weather conditions; may include extensive heat and extensive cold working and high humidity atmospheres. Job Description:
This position provides classroom and field learning experiences for Common Aviation Command and Control Systems (CAC2S), Command and Control Systems and associated subsystems taught by the Joint Forces Training and Support Branch. Individual will be required to deliver training, develop, Review, and update training material to include curriculum and associated operation / maintenance manuals. The main focus of this position is to provide instruction and technical assistance in the development of curriculum and manuals for CAC2S and association subsystems. This position is not considered a leadership position although the decisions and guidance it provides students are from a leadership perspective. The candidate must be proficient in the material as well as in the techniques for teaching and training appropriate for the environment in which learning will take place. The candidate will develop, deliver information as provided through instructor guides and appropriate supplemental materials for systems being taught. The candidate is responsible for assessing student learning growth and ultimate proficiency with the systems being instructed within JXRS. This position will require the ability to deploy as a quick-response to support sponsor requirements and multiple positions will be located within 15 minutes of NSWC Crane, Crane Indiana. One position will be located in 29 Palms, California.
