What you will be doing:
- Team up with systems architects, developers, and business owners to design applications needed to solve complex problems.
- Be responsible for creating user-friendly front end (UX) using Javascript, HTML/5, CSS, AJAX, and JQuery
- Provide leadership and mentoring for other developers and contractors
- Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture, or new technologies
- May have the opportunity to lead a team of developers if desired
What you need:
- At least 5 years of development experience
- Strong knowledge of LAMP stack technologies
- Current commercial front-end software engineering experience, preferably with a high traffic web application
- Excellent programming, problem solving, and debugging skills
- Experience coding with Java
- Experience with Amazon AWS services
- Experience with agile programming methodology
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent strongly preferred
Nice to have:
- Experience in automated testing tools
- Emerging Web standards, such as HTML5
