Calypso Support Analyst – London
My client, an Investment Bank in London, require a Calypso Business Support Analyst to join the core Calypso Support team responsible for trade booking, position management, PL and downstream delivery across the entire business.
The successful applicant will handle user queries from Operations, Product Control and Risk across the technology stack, including but not limited to alerts monitoring, issue investigation, problem resolution and support communication.
The Calypso Business Support Analyst will be expected to drive changes aiming to improve the business processes in place and the associated production environment and which may require some code change, environment management, testing execution, release coordination and any other activity needed to deliver the requested business solution.
Calypso is used by multiple functions including front-office, middle-office, back-office, finance and risk teams. Knowledge and experience of Calypso within: trade capture, pricing, risk, reporting, workflow, confirmations, settlements, documentation, so knowledge of one or more of these areas would be advantageous.
Essential requirements
- You should have strong Calypso knowledge
- You should have an in-depth knowledge of the processes and procedures in the front, back and middle office
- You should have knowledge of the life cycle of exchange traded instruments (e.g. Futures, Equities, Bonds) and OTC products including FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Swaps and Credit
- You will have worked in a support, development or business analysis capacity for an Investment Bank
- You will have a proven ability to support dynamic business environments using complex technology and processes
- You will have experience working with and successfully communicating with IT professionals and end users at all seniority levels
Technical Skills
- SQL with Oracle DBMS and/or SQL Server (incl. stored procedures)
- Linux, Solaris (including shell scripting)
- Calypso
- Proficiency is the MS Office suite of applications
