Campaign Marketing Manager Job in Peabody 01960, Massachusetts US

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

 

The principal responsibility of every employee of Northeast Nursery, Inc. is to help attract and retain customers.  The Campaign Marketing Manager will be responsible for helping create, launch and steer a successful product campaign for this dynamic wholesale nursery. Together with the Business Development Manager and other senior staff they will work to secure all levels of customer support to further the mission of Northeast Nursery Inc.

 

The Campaign Marketing Manager will work with the Business Development Manager and is currently assigned to work with Dearborn Road and Newbury Street to handle the day-to-day marketing responsibilities for both locations. Areas of responsibility include creating promotional material, creating print and electronic communications, expanding media relations, and conducting other outreach activities

 

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

 

1.      Design marketing materials for Northeast Nursery as requested and needed. This may include posters, flyers, blog posts, e-newsletters, promotional materials, and brochures.

 

2.      Assist with the implementation of advertising strategies and POS merchandising, utilizing Co-op monies from cooperating vendors of Northeast Nursery.

 

3.      Contribute to the creation and editing of the Northeast Nursery Annual Wholesale catalog.

 

4.      Maintain and update Northeast Nursery web pages and e-communications, including writing, editing, creating the monthly e-newsletter, managing the blog.

 

5.      Monitors competition by preparing catalogue, web site, pricing, and delivery analyses; updating research databases.

 

6.      Maintain Northeast Nursery photo library, including taking new photos as needed, managing usage rights, and assisting others in locating appropriate images.

 

7.      Develop and maintain Northeast Nursery Social Media tools, including YouTube Channel, Facebook, Twitter, and Constant Contact.

 

8.      Monitors service quality by identifying customer needs; defining trends; recommending improvements.

 

9.      Coordinate Northeast Nursery program catalogue creation, production, and mailing.

 

10.  Assist with initiating and responding to media inquiries for Northeast Nursery, including creating press releases, coordinating on-site tapings, and selecting images.

 

11.  Track media hits for Northeast Nursery and maintain media contacts.

 

12.  Work all Northeast Nursery special events

 

13.  Participate regularly and actively in monthly Northeast Nursery Marketing Committee meetings as well as other Northeast Nursery or Marketing Department meetings as needed.

 

14.  Assume other responsibilities as requested by the Business Development Manager or Northeast Nursery Senior Management.

Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of one year of direct or related experience. Strong computer (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher), writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communications skills are essential. Strong organizational, time management, and “managing up” skills are essential. Ability to manage deadline-driven projects is essential. Ability to multi-task is essential. Attention to detail is essential. Familiarity with or willingness to learn basic desktop publishing and graphic design tools (such as Quark Express 9.0 and Photoshop) is essential. Familiarity with or willingness to learn online marketing and social media tools (Twitter, You Tube, and Facebook) is essential. Experience working with the media is essential. Enthusiasm for and familiarity with landscape, nursery, lawn and garden products and practices is desirable, but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work as an effective team member, as well as independently, are essential. Flexibility and willingness to pitch in as needed are also important traits. Ability to relate to a diverse range of people and exercise cultural competence and inclusion. English skills are required; fluency in a second language is a plus.
