Canadian Equity Senior Investment Analyst recruitment

The Investment Management Unit (“IMU”) has a strong process orientation and is committed to developing and implementing state-of-the-art investment management techniques and processes. The Senior Investment Analyst would play an important role in the intellectual development and execution of that process. Currently the Canadian IMU has an opening for a Senior Investment Analyst on their Equity Team.
The ideal candidate would have a strong grounding in equity research; a strong background in quantitative methods and statistical techniques; and possess a strong awareness and depth of knowledge of leading edge investment industry trends. The ideal candidate is expected to bring strong convictions but an open mind. The Senior Investment Analyst will need to work collaboratively within a highly experienced and motivated team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to SEI's equity products and process in an environment that stresses performance accountability and personal contribution.
Responsibilities
- daily mandate compliance, sub-advisor trade monitoring
- performance, attribution and risk management reporting
- sub-advisor review and due diligence assignments
- structural and market related research projects
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Excel and macro based programming
- Knowledge of attribution and risk systems
- Knowledge of Canadian investment management community
- Strong knowledge of capital markets
- Strong written, oral, organizational and analytical skills
- A demonstrated record of achievement, adherence to project deadlines and extraordinary attention to detail
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance combined with a CFA and at least 7 years experience
The position will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager, however the IMU stresses a team environment.
Location and Travel
This position is based in Toronto, with occasional travel.
