Capabilities Analyst
Description Key Role: Assist the government by providing expert research and analysis to support the identification, development, and fielding of new capabilities for Army combat units and staff. Lead or participate in efforts to identify, analyze, characterize, and document capabilities, gaps, and other issues that hinder the ability of Army combat units to successfully conduct operations. Assess potential solutions that fill or mitigate identified capability gaps based on potential benefits and impacts to the Army in terms of doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leader development and education, personnel, and facilities (DOTMLPF). Develop concepts of employment (CONEMP) or concepts of operations (CONOPS) to support the implementation of approved DOTMLPF solutions. Assess select capabilities that have been rapidly fielded to Army combat units and assist with studies, experiments, and wargames, as needed. Conduct frequent interactions with Military and government service personnel and other contractors working on related issues in support of Army combat units. This position will require travel to various US Army installations to attend periodic conferences in support of these efforts.
