Casualty Product Analyst
We're looking for a highly accurate financial analyst, proactive about expanding their reinsurance knowledge base and keeping up to date with the latest financial concepts to provide reliable data analysis and graphs for business steering decisions made by Casualty Heads / Board members.
The opportunity
In this role you will ensure accuracy of data and provide graphs to support the presentation requirements of the Heads of Casualty and Casualty Centre for board meetings, internal meetings and similar. Ensuring that your analysis always reflects current requirements within Swiss Re, you have to quickly familiarise yourself with new and changing concepts and liaise with other technical departments like Finance and Underwriting Strategy so that the data is comprehensive, complete and easily understood by anyone.
Along with the Senior Casualty Actuary, you'll provide opinions on the data/analysis, adding value with your insight and by identifying trends, gaps and business opportunities for Casualty. In this position, you'll work with senior management like the Head of Casualty, a Member of our Group Management Board
About you
You have a degree in maths, actuarial science, finance or related. Continued actuarial or other studies would be a plus, as would one or two years' experience in casualty reinsurance and reporting/data handling. You are able to communicate complex and technical information to a non-technical audience effectively. Fluent in English, you are confident working in Excel, Access and PowerPoint and possess strong analytical and data processing skills. A team player, you're also independent and proactive, flexible and comfortable with tight deadlines and new challenges.
