We are looking to recruit a high caliber QA Lead to own the end to end testing of multiple Reference Data projects for the Investment Bank. The role will be based in the JPMC Technology Centre in New York, reporting to the Reference Data QA Manager. Some travel will be required to meet with key individuals within the Business and Development teams.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Test Management, demonstrate strong Test Analysis skills and experience of delivery in complex fast moving environments. Excellent communication skills will be vital in this role
Main duties will include

Managing the workload of a team of test resources across multiple locations.
Managing communication with project stakeholders and their expectations on the test team.
Working closely with the Business Analyst and Development teams to define the scope and detailed plan for the System Test phase.
Defining the test environment requirements to support the testing phases.
Design, development and Peer-review of both System and Regression test cases, to ensure a high level of functionality coverage;
Working closely with business analysts end-users to influence an improvement in the quality of their testing
Ensuring that the regression packs are well written for ease of execution and automation where appropriate.
Planning and co-ordinating the testing required to confirm a successful release deployment.
Taking ownership of test process improvement initiatives and driving them through to completion.
Reporting to senior management on test status in a clear and concise way;
Coordinating the implementation of releases into the production environment;
Provide on-going performance and career management for JPMorgan resources within the test team

Qualifications

Experience of providing the direction and workload management for a team of resources;
Experience w/ Instrument Reference Data
A sound understanding of the principles of software testing and demonstrates continued learning;
Proven experience of working in software testing using a variety of techniques tools;
Extensive experience of Test Analysis, Test Design; Test Execution and Defect Management across a number of large scale projects;
Proven ability to understand and interpret complex business systems;
Proven ability to understand the technical integrations systems;
Strong problem solving communication skills;
Ability to develop strong working relationships;
A meticulous thorough approach to work, balanced with a strong focus on hitting deadlines;
Good planning skills and ability to co-ordinate testing activities;
Ability to manage your own time and task assigned to others;
Proven experience in reporting progress in a clear way;
Team working skills are essential;
A flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to travel as required;
Pragmatism.

It would also be an advantage to have:
Experience of working with offshore vendors;
Experience of test automation tools or programming skills
Investment Banking knowledge
