The catering manager will interact with all levels at the university including the president, administrators, students, and with many groups from the community. Catering sales will be increasing next year with the renovation of The National Hockey Center and the addition of the new suites that are being constructed. The best qualified candidate will have a 3 or more years of catering experience, and concessions and marketing experience is a plus. This position requires one to have the ability to focus on developing strong relationships with key university administrators. The successful candidate must have knowledge of Sodexo financial processes including Labor Management, Food Management, billing, and CaterTrax. Position Summary : Manages all catered events. Hires, schedules, and trains catering staff. Works with clients/customers to arrange and follow through on all catering details and to ensure all special requests are met. Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing. Qualifications Requirements: Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED Basic Management Experience - 1 year Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
