A fantastic opportunity to join a well established financial organisation working within their Customer Operations team. The company specialises in servicing commercial mortgages, particularly to SME’s across the UK.
The Company is looking to recruit a Underwriting Officer to deal with Customer requests in relation to their Property ( Part sales, Lease consents etc). The candidate will also assist the Field Operations Teams and deal with general day to day Administration tasks.

The key responsibilities include:

Dealing with customer requests for lease matters, part sale of property, add remove borrowers etc
Risk assessing customer requests and taking case request to completion
Answering Customer Calls and dealing with enquiries
Dealing with correspondence relating to legal matters on the customers account
You will be responsible for signing off a mandate within the lending criteria
Liaising with CAM's and PMD teams on forbearance matters that require underwriting risk assessment of case

Mandate
Candidate will have a mandate to sign of customer requests for amendments within lending criteria

The successful applicant would ideally:

Institute of Financial services certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) OR
CeMAP Bridge plus FPC OR
CII Mortgage Advice Qualification plus FPC
Substantial experience of working in a regulatory environment
Ability to deal with solicitors on legal matters ( knowledge of leases, land registry forms etc)
Working Knowledge of
FSMA
FSA
TCF

You must be able to work independently, able to plan and direct own work
Be a good communicator especially written communication with third parties. Ideally you will be familiar with Equifax, land registry and or companies house.
|Have good knowledge of financial services business practices and procedures
