An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant to join the Central Finance Team as Central Financial Accountant. This is a pivotal role in the organisation and would suit a newly qualified accountant looking for their first step out of practice. This is a wonderful platform to demonstrate what working in industry can offer.
The role is very broad and has great scope to be developed. It provides good exposure to the wider business, through liaison with different business units. You would be expected to gain invaluable experience in this role for c. 18 to 24 months, before moving on to other parts of the business, through internal job opportunities or promotions.
You would be responsible for consolidating and reviewing the monthly results before submission to the group Finance function, and play a key part in the preparation of the Performance Pack for the Board. You would have the opportunity to demonstrate your strong communication skills as you work with key stakeholders to prepare budgets and forecasts for central cost centres. You would complete variance analysis of cashflow forecasts versus actual cashflows.
For yearend, you would assist in the preparation of the draft statutory accounts for the Division and coordinate the year-end Audit, liaising directly with the auditors.
The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with 0-2 years post qualified experience, looking to step into industry from practice. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with people at all levels across the business. You will have a proven track record of reporting to tight deadlines and managing priorities. Knowledge of SAP is beneficial, but not essential.
