CEO/ Entrepreneur Job in New York, New York US
The CEO/entrepreneur will be responsible for spinning out a patented technology from a client university. The entrepreneur would be responsible for establishing the spinout company, licensing the technology and raising capital. The CEO/entrepreneur should be experienced in founding a company, developing a business plan, raising capital and operating a startup. Startup company location is flexible – the CEO may establish the company in their own location.
Responsibilities:
- Provides overall leadership to the startup process including company formation
- Determines startup business strategy and develops business plan
- Licenses technology from university
- Raises capital or secures grant funding as required
- Operates startup company
Qualifications:
- M.B.A. or significant related experience
- Experience as a C level executive with startup company, preferably with exit experience
- Experience raising capital or securing federal and state small business grants
InnovateTech Ventures works with universities to facilitate the formation of startup companies based on patented university inventions. We help the university staff and selected entrepreneur to identify potential partners and spinout the technology, but we do not take equity in the startup nor fees from the CEO/entrepreneur.
