Transportation Outside Sales Rep Job in Glendale, Arizona Us

Roadmaster Specialized is an asset based logistics and transportation company located in Glendale, AZ.  We operate a fleet of flatbeds and vans that run nationally and a logistics division that supports those assets and identifies complimentary freight. 

 

We are seeking a full time employee to join our logistics division as an Outside Sales Representative.  The position will be responsible for developing freight that can be utilized in power lanes for our asset division as well as freight that can be brokered to our partner carriers. The ideal candidate will build a portfolio of clients by actively researching and seeking out prospects via inside and outside sales calls.  While it will ultimately be the Outside Salesperson’s responsibility to build their book of business, we will provide lists of former customers, recently identified leads, and the tools to build your portfolio.

 

The Outside Salesperson will make the initial phone contact with the customer and determine their transportation needs.  Once obtained, you will work with management and Customer Service Representatives to evaluate the customer and provide pricing.  A successful Outside Salesperson will quickly learn to identify many potential clients, properly evaluate the profitability, and sell the customer of our benefit to their company.

 

Requirements:

 

 

2 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Inside Sales required.  You need not apply if you have pre-conceived notion of how to operate our business, require constant direction or motivation, or if you are not willing to invest time and effort in your success.   We are seeking the right person with a positive attitude and solid skill set.  We are willing and able to invest time and training in you if you are willing to work diligently to our common goal.
