I am looking for a dedicated and experienced Child Care Worker with the following skills:
- Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbal
- Previous experience working in a child care centre
- The desire the work in the industry long-term
- A team-player
This centre is located on the Lower North Shore, close to Cremorne. Please ensure you are able to travel easily to the centre as there is no access to trains, only buses in this area. The available position is to work with a group of 16 children aged 2. It is essential that you are able to show initiative, be flexible and contribute effectively to the team.
The centre aims to provide a welcoming, safe, and inviting atmosphere, in which all children and their families feel confident and relaxed. Using the Early Years Learning Framework, there is an expectation that the successful candidate would have the skills and knowledge to contribute to written documentation on a daily basis.
You will have the option of working a 4 or 5 day week, totalling a 38 hour working week.
Essential Criteria:
- The skills and confidence to plan, program, observe and evaluate using the Emergent Curriculum
- An understanding of the Accreditation process and the QIAS principles
- A sound knowledge of the NSW Children's Services Regulation 2004
- A current First Aid certificate
- Permanent working rights in Australia
