POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is within the CFRA Research division of MSCI, serving in a sales capacity to analysts and portfolio managers at investment firms.

CFRA research analysts conduct and publish forensic financial statement analysis equity research on publicly traded companies for dissemination to a client base which includes institutional investors, underwriters, regulators, and law practices. Our proprietary research and analysis is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research which ultimately leads to published research. This includes rigorous financial statement analysis as well as gathering and interpreting company-specific and sector-specific data, as the analyst develops and produces company and industry reports.

The sales team develops relationships through prospecting, networking, and other marketing activities, culminating in subscription or vote-based sales. This sales role will be based in Singapore and involve selling CFRA products to key markets in Asia. Successful candidates will be highly self driven sales professionals who are passionate about equity research and the markets, while also being able to work collegially as part of a team.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Marketing and developing relationships in a defined territory with a variety of client types, including hedge funds, long-only investment firms, and other financial stakeholders.

• Understanding and following CFRA’s research through regular interaction with research analysts and intra-team discussions.

• Maintaining a full pipeline of new opportunities through a variety of prospecting activities, reporting progress through salesforce.com.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years in equity research sales or other financial services sales discipline

• Experience selling to institutional investors in Asia.

• Preferred credentials include CFA, MBA; Accounting background a plus

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

• Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
