Chief Commodities Research Strategist

Position Description

- Serve as Morgan Stanley's primary spokesperson and client relationship manager for commodities research.
- Create and present investment strategies to institutional and retail investors.
- Lead/manage team responsible for formulating and presenting Morgan Stanley forecasts for metals, energy and agricultural supply, demand and resulting prices.
- Produce stand alone reports on key changes/trends/dislocations in commodities that affect price dynamics over a range of time horizons.
- Collaborate actively and co-publish with Morgan Stanley's mining, energy, natural resources and agriculture-related equity analysts, who will integrate energy and commodity price forecasts into their own economic and industry models.

Skills Required

- Relevant senior sell-or buy-side experience.
- Strong, proven experience in commodity economics, forecasting, and publication.
- Strong client and general interpersonal/collaboration skills and experience.
- Ability to influence and at times lead large, diverse, and geographically disparate group of equity analysts.
- Network of contacts at producer/trader level.
- Management experience required.
