Chief Internal Auditor recruitment
Location: Chongqing, China
Job Purpose: Responsible for the management of the internal audit function in line with the banks’ organizational objectives and provide overall leadership for bank-wide risk management.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement audit strategy and audit plans to ensure effective controls in all business processes, operations and systems.
- Develop and set up the IT audit capability in the bank.
- Facilitate the articulation of the internal audit strategy and ensure alignment across the bank.
- Assess the business and operational risks continuously in order to establish appropriate and timely mitigating controls in support of the bank’s development.
- Monitor the implementation of scheduled audits, identify and investigate any discrepancies/breaches in data or compliance / regulatory rules and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Ensure annual audit plans are implemented in compliance with internal and external statutory regulations and standards.
- Provide the business units, Audit Committee, senior management with advisory services regarding internal and external risk exposure, governance and best practices in business and bank-wide risk management.
- Coordinate the preparation and compilation of agreed periodic reports for management review.
- Coordinate the internal audit program with outside examiners and auditors.
- Manage special audit and investigation assignments as commissioned by the Audit Committee or senior management.
- Ensure optimal utilization of audit resources and provide leadership and guidance to direct reports.
Requirements:
- A university degree holder and/or qualified accountant with minimum 15 years of relevant experience in auditing, China audit exposure is a must.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing, banking, compliance and regulatory requirements in China, and in HK an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical with strong organization and leadership skills.
- Fluency in Chinese Mandarin and English, with Cantonese an advantage.
