Chief Investment Officer recruitment
Our client is a major regional fund involved in the management and investment of billions of dollars. The organisation is extremely well organised, structured and has an excellent reputation. They have strategic and ambitious goals and look to bring in only the highest calibre of candidates.
Your duties will include:
- Recommending and implementing investment strategy and policies.
- Reviewing policies and procedures and ensuring full due diligence procedures have been adhered to.
- Working closely with the investment committee on all aspects of investments including risk management, compliance and implementation of decisions.
- Recommending investment strategy for asset classes including portfolio structure, risk parameters, portfolio investment guidelines and benchmarks.
- Recommending investments in both local and global markets for equities, fixed income, infrastructure, private equity and real estate.
- Conducting searches for new managers, products, consultants, custodians and other applicable service providers.
- Monitoring global capital markets and economic forecasts and providing ongoing analysis of how these affect the fund.
- Recruiting, directing and supervising internal staff and maintaining excellent relationships with other teams.
- Regularly reporting and advising the board and investment committee on strategy and execution of investments.
The successful candidate for this role will hold a relevant bachelors and masters Degree as well as the full CFA qualification. You will have at least 20 years of professional investment management experience in a multiple asset class investment portfolio within either a pension plan, investment management operation, endowment fund or a related financial institution. You will have comprehensive knowledge of retirement fund investment and administration. You will also have deep understanding of the principles and theories of investments and the legal and regulatory environment.
