Reporting to the COO WM, incumbent is responsible for all business-driven, employee-facing initiatives across WM. Duties will include direct accountability for employee engagement and technical training activities in support of the WM business; competitive relationship management for the National Sales organization, as well as core markets and banking. Incumbent will partner closely with the HRBP, Talent Development and Recruiting teams supporting WM in the execution of key people-related initiatives unique to WM. Incumbent will serve as a key advisor and counsel to the CEO on engagement related matters not within the purview of the COO, or Human Resources. Identifies opportunities for enhanced integration and communication across WM and IM. Oversees the execution of all WM engagement activities (including Diversity) in alignment with the overall people strategy for the business. Seeks improvements to programs in response to current business need; partnering with HRBPs as appropriate. Oversees the execution of business specific training initiatives intended to enhance revenue generation and the delivery of exemplary client service. Engages WM Training and business leadership to ensure timely delivery of product in association to business need with a focus on enhanced time-to-proficiency and productivity. Maintains excellence in execution of quarterly Sales Officer orientation with an eye to proficiency, productivity and retention of key talent. Serves as a key advisor to WM Recruiting on market intelligence, industry issues and trends; works closely with line leaders, HRBPs and WM Recruiting to develop a viable talent stream. Partners with key business leaders to identify and build a viable and fungible talent pipeline across the business. Coaches leaders in the effective development and accomplishment of same. Must be highly credible in representing the WM business. Seen to be the expert in assessing business need/talent 'fit' across the WM enterprise. Adept in articulating and championing the key business drivers and ROI of employee engagement, attraction and retention. Must be thoroughly versed in business, individual success measures and drivers, issues impacting attraction and retention. Able to quickly assess talent requirements and capabilities at the WM business-level and at the incumbent level. Must be able to discern internal (WM) and external (beyond BNYMellon) trends in engagement, retention and attraction as well as translating same into actionable initaitives. Skilled in critical and creative thinking to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative soultions, conclusions and/or approaches to problems. Demonstrated capability to think strategically about talent acquisition strategies and methodologies. Incumbent plays a key role in ensuring the development and maintenance of a healthy and prosperous culture within WM. Functioning as a market talent leader, incumbent can significantly impact the nature of the workforce through key talent identification and acquisition. Must be able to positively influence leadership across the WM business, enabling them to effectively adress cultural, engagement and retention and/or talent acquisition issues impacting their businesses. Serving as a 'talent taste maker' for a highly people-intensive business, can have a direct impact on revenue generation. Must possess excellent analytical, communication and problem solving skills. Able to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituents, known for discretion, sound business knowledge, judgment and advice. Must be adept in building effective relationships and rapport with key business leaders external to BNYMellon. Must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to influence subtly and effectively.
