China Analyst/Jnr. Portfolio Manager | Associate | Emerging Markets Hedge Fund | Singapore
This is a unique opportunity for a skilled researcher or Junior Portfolio manager with specific skills in equity investments in Mainland China to join one of the most prestigious Long/Short funds in Asia.
The role will entail performing both macro-economic and fundamental research into the regions equity markets and creating lucrative investment proposals for the firms portfolio.
My client is seeking highly educated individuals at the mid-point of their career, seeking to expand their skills in the Hedge Fund industry and begin the path to becoming an Equity Portfolio Manager with their highly esteemed team.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with a team of researchers to develop thematic research notes on the regions equity markets
- Conduct full investment research on a range of Trade ideas focused towards the China market and relate these to Senior Portfolio Managers
- Work with senior PM's to execute validated trade ideas and begin the development process to managing your own book. (Candidates with experience as a PM will be considered and will transition to a full PM faster)
- Contribute to the overall investment strategy of the fund through your views on the broader Economic landscape and any opportunities this poses
Candidate Requirements
- 4-7 years experience in performing Equity research with a minimum of 3 years covering mainland China. Candidates with experience as a Junior PM or PM will be given preference
- University Educated, obtaining at least a BSc in Economics, Finance or Banking from a Global Top 50 University
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a particular focus on meticulous research
