Position Description:
We currently an excellent opportunity for a Research Chemist-Analytical located at our Princeton, NJ headquarters.
The Research Chemist will work in a hands-on laboratory position (no direct reports) primarily in support of OTC products.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Must be able to independently carry out technical assignments, validate results, draw conclusions, and write technical summaries.
• Assist product and process development groups in solving their technical problems using the results of appropriate analytical methodology.
• Develop and execute method validation protocols.
• Develop QC test methodology for manufacturing plants and copackers, develop and execute method transfer protocols
• Works cross-functionally with RD Formulation, Technology, Process, Quality and Manufacturing.
Education and Experience
• Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with no experience, or BS/MS in Chemistry with 2+ years industrial/technical experience
• Experience with chromatography (e.g., HPLC) and wet chemistry techniques preferred.
• Some experience in analytical problem-solving
• Knowledge of good laboratory practices. Experience with GLP/GMP preferred.
Skills and Competencies
• Ability to work effectively with personnel from different technical disciplines towards problem resolution.
• Must possess good, hands-on analytical laboratory skills
• Must be able to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation
• Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.
