Summary of ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership and administering the delivery of transfer agent and shareholder service operations to hedge fund clients.
Directs the development of new products and services and the onboarding of new
hedge fund clients for the Transfer Agent. Trains and develops managers and staff.
Administers transfer agent control environment to ensure that proper accounting and operational controls are maintained.
II.
Position Responsibilities
Manages a Hedge Fund
Client Operations team and responds to more complex client and shareholder inquires.
Develops new and maintains existing client relationships by responding to more complex client inquires, providing business advice and consulting.
Prepares and participates in presentations to existing and potential clients..
Works closely with other JPMorgan and enterprise departments for the efficient, effective delivery of services and to meet business objectives.
Hires, trains, and directs staff.
Coaches and develops management staff to meet business objectives.
Regularly and accurately reports on all Transfer Agent performance standards measures.
Ensures operational controls, policies and procedures are in place to mitigate risk to JPMorgan, its clients and their shareholders.
Leverages industry groups and contacts to stay abreast of industry trends.
Participates in corporate and departmental strategic planning as it relates to new business planning, technology and planning for growth.
Manages to meet financial (revenue expense) objectives.
Manages major vendor relationships, contracts, and billings negotiating pricing/service levels.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Selection Criteria
Experience managing individuals with the proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
This would include providing direction, coaching and effective feedback to team members. Must provide examples of effectively managing and developing mid-level management.
Experience coordinating multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis. Expected to cite examples of organization and time management/methods used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
Experience working with multiple functions to convert a transfer agent operation.
Very strong communication skills both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills, including experience conducting formal presentations to potential fund clients.

Demonstrated experience in departmental budget management and contract negotiations with vendors.
Education:
Bachelors degree required (business discipline preferred); Advanced Degree (such as MBA) desired
Minimum 3-5 years in Financial Services industry, preferably Substantial experience in the hedge fund servicing industry with experience in all aspects of the transfer agency, regulatory practices and operations.Computer skills and knowledge of hardware software:
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook Express (or similar email program)
Proficient in project management software such as Project.
Prior knowledge of hedge fund Accounting/Transfer Agency systems desired

Position Demands
Extended hours/Weekends may be required during conversions/deconversions of new business or systems, as well as during peak cycles (year-end, month-end, tax season, etc)
