CIB – Regional Business Resiliency Manager – ED

The Regional Business Resiliency Manager oversees the resiliency program for CIB sites representing multiple lines of business, providing back up capabilities to other sister sites. The Manager is an expert in BC/DR and has strong knowledge of the business and is responsible for developing best practices and ensuring consistency in program execution. In addition to having a sound foundation in core firm resiliency activities, the manager will lead end to end quality reviews, audit the activities of Resiliency professionals in the LOB, drive the response and coordination efforts for crisis event management(CEM) and communicate to regional crisis teams. Resiliency Manager will be required to communicate resiliency risks to Senior Management and be a liaison to Regulatory bodies. The Manager should also be able to risk profile locations, functions and LOB initiatives and articulate the threats, vulnerabilities and risk to Risk Managers, Risk Councils/Committees and Senior Management.

The Manager is responsible for the integrity of resiliency data currency and reporting, have a strong knowledge and linkage to technology and ensure the business and technology recovery strategies are aligned. The Manager fully understands the implications of Corporate RRL, LOB best practices and global regulatory requirements on the LOB's resiliency function and direction. The Manager will support and implement the program according to the policies and standards as defined by the Global Resiliency and Crisis Management function. The Manager is able to architect resilient functions and facilities or suggest steps to mitigate risk. Performing advanced training and education on resiliency and implement continuous improvement initiatives to mature the resiliency function. Required to oversee resiliency working groups and a formal resiliency Quality Assurance and Training program leveraging a consistent model throughout the region. Ensure LOB Coordinators are in alignment and adherence to Risk Base Testing practices, providing introduction and guidance to new resiliency members in each location.

Partnership with site engineers, real estate and security is essential to develop and maintain a full understanding of the site infrastructure. Required to understand critical elements of electrical, HVAC, technical, and telephony infrastructures of strategic sites. Socialize / facilitate critical site infrastructure related activities, including Major Event Project Calendar events, projects with major change elements to site, mitigating potential resiliency risk to site and LOBs.

Responsible for managing the resiliency component of location strategy activities in partnership with Air Traffic Control (ATC) Governance group, ensuring timely review, data analysis and approval of migration activities.

Engagement required in on-boarding and review activities of Third Party Vendors affecting LOBs residing in strategic sites. Analysis / validation of Third Party Oversight review versus Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO) required. Industry engagement with peer financial institutions and other industries will be required.

Provide consultation for RFP/RFI activities and responds to client inquiries in a timely manner. Effectively represent the LOB by presenting the resiliency program to prospective and existing external clients. In partnership with LOB Coordinators, Manager is responsible for the design, development and execution of tabletop exercises for clients internally and in special cases, externally to demonstrate organizational preparedness for the business resiliency plan to meet compliance and risk assessment requirements.
