The TeamInvestment Bank Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales Trading and Risk Management business areas. Our specialist QA group are a global team dedicated to delivering software of the highest quality to our business. Pyramid is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing derivatives in the Investment Bank. It is used by the Equity Derivatives business globally. The platform utilises cutting edge technologies for the calculation of real-time risk, as well as batch processes, and supplying the results to multiple clients. The technology stack comprises a range of implementations including Java, C#, .net, C , and RDBMS on Windows and Linux platforms. The RoleWe are looking to recruit a high calibre Senior Test Analyst, with automation experience, to develop and run complex tests for the Risk LOB.
Working in the Glasgow Risk Structuring QA team, the successful candidate will have excellent analysis skills, first class communication, and demonstrable testing experience throughout the full test lifecycle from requirements gathering to test reporting and sign off including associated documentation. Sound knowledge and understanding of best practise in testing is essential, as is experience of testing both web and thicker client applications. You will also be well versed in progress reporting at varying levels and changing information content to suit audience.
We are also looking for someone well versed in the use of Selenium and supporting technologies
Key ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with development and business teams to define and scope the testing required for key Investment Banking softwareIdentification of suitable candidate functionality for automationManagement and continual development of regression test packsTaking ownership of test process improvement initiatives and driving them through to completionWorking as part of a QA global teamEnsuring that test packs are well written easy to use for execution and maintenanceProviding input to the development of the test approach and processesProducing estimates for testing effort
Qualifications
Essential SkillsDemonstrable domain skill set;Working knowledge of financial marketsFull understanding of typical software development lifecyclesExperience creating detailed test cases/scripts for Development and/or business clientsWorking knowledge of best practices in testing and quality control processesExperience creating functional and technical documentationStrong analytical skills with the ability to provide recommendations for process improvementsStrong experience with manual testing, writing test plans, and reviewing test casesSelenium Test Automation (IDE/Remote Control/WebDriver/PageObjects)Ability to communicate results and findings in a clear and concise wayAbility to identify candidate test automation packs which are easy to run and require minimal manual interventionProven ability to understand and interpret complex business systemsProven ability to understand the technical integrations of systemsA meticulous thorough approach to work balanced with a strong focus on hitting deadlinesYou will be highly self motivated with demonstrable initiative and flexibility
