Looking for a client facing engineer for a full-time, direct hire position

This is a customer facing position supporting account executives as well as customers. Client employs more than 70 certified engineers in various disciplines including unified

communications, routing and switching, physical security, unified computing systems, storage, virtualization, media solutions, video, wireless LAN/WAN, network security, UPS 

systems and emergency response systems. Special consideration given to those with experience managing voice projects. 

Job Description: 

* Install and configure Cisco Unified Communications products including Unified Communications Manager, Unity and Call Center Express. 

* Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions Install and configure voice gateways as part of the IP telephony system. 

Install and configure LAN switches

* Attend pre-sales meetings with clients to assist in developing technology solutions. 

* Work with Account Managers to develop bills of materials and respond to RFPs (request for proposal). 

* Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems. 

* Assist with day to day project management duties during client installations. 

* Provide systems administration training to clients. 

* Updates the Engineering Manager (EM) and Project Manager on scheduling and project status. 

* Assist support technicians in troubleshooting client installations

Qualifications:

* Hands on experience with installing and troubleshooting Cisco Unified Communications, Unity and IPCC/UCCX 

* Hands on experience with creating and maintaining IPCC/UCCX scripts 

* Strong understanding of TCP/IP and ability to install and troubleshoot LANs and WANs. 

* Experience designing network solutions given client requirements and goals. 

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable 

* CCVP, CCDP, or CCIE certification preferred. 

* Ability to manage and coordinate projects

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Ability to travel as needed. 

* Self-motivated and desire to succeed.
