Citrix IT Operating Systems Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze all aspects of the existing infrastructure and recommends modifications that will enhance system reliability, availability, serviceability and scalability
- Work with teammates, clients and other teams to identify and address systems problems
- Evaluate new developments and recommend infrastructure modifications
- May be involved in providing 24x7 on-call support
- Assist in defining standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics
- Test new applications and deploy to the Citrix environment
- Perform application installations and updates on Presentation Server/XenApp (4.5/6.5 ) servers in coordination with application owners
- Troubleshoot network issues that impact Citrix performance over LAN and WAN
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Administer, monitor, and manage all aspects of the Citrix environment including Presentation Server/XenApp versions 4.5 and 6 .5 as well as all supporting Citrix infrastructure.
- Manage and provision server and application capacity
- Monitor performance and operations of applications in a Windows 2003/2008 Presentation Server/XenApp environment using various tools, including EdgeSight, AppSense, and HP OpenView
- Coordinate lifecycle management of infrastructure with application owners clients

Requirements:
- 4+ years Xenapp 4.5 expertise working in a large enterprise environment
- 3+ years Windows Server 2003 platform experience
- Thorough understanding of WAN/LAN environments
- High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree required
Assets:
- Powershell scripting experience
- Appsense experience
- Mediframe experience
- XenApp 6.5 experience
- NetScaler experience
- CCEA and/or MCSE
- Windows Server 2008 R2 platform experience
- Thorough understanding of installation manager
