C++/Java Developer – Market Operations and Technology – New York recruitment

The Credit Trading Division (CTD) is a mature division of the broader Fixed Income Currency Commodities (FICC) group and is comprised of multiple business lines including both proprietary and customer facing businesses. CTD trades a variety of both single and multi-name credit products, including corporate bonds and loans, securitized bonds, credit default swaps (CDS), CDS indices and total return swaps (TRS).

CTD is supported by a dedicated team of software developers and quantitative analysts who are part of the broader Market Operations and Technology group (MOT). The MOT team works closely with the business to rapidly design, develop, and deploy front-to-back solutions that encompass all aspects of the business, including:

· Pre-trade analysis, price capture

· Trade capture and marking

· Pricing and risk models and analytics

· Position, PL, and Risk analysis and reporting

· Trade lifecycle and bi-directional downstream connectivity to clearing and settlement functions

· Reference and pricing database infrastructure

We are looking to add an exceptional and versatile C++/Java developer to the team in New York. We expect team members to be highly motivated and clearly demonstrate both technical excellence and a passion for supporting the growth and success of the business. Technical versatility and flexibility are keys; team members can expect to be engaged in a variety of projects encompassing a broad set of financial products and technical skills.

Required technical skills include:

· C++ programming in a UNIX/Linux environment

· Java programming

· Python scripting

· Relational databases, SQL

Candidates will ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:

· Trade capture and processing of fixed income products

· C++ pricing and risk analytics of corporate and/or securitized bonds and CDS

· Desk tool development: marking, pricing, relative value analysis

· Desk reporting: PL and explains, perturbative risk

Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable discussing complex problems with key business stakeholders.
