Full Job Description
You will be working in a small claims team for a successful Lloyd`s managing agent. You will be focussing on a range of speciality lines which include: Property,Financial, Institutions, Marine Specialist Lines, Political Risk, Professional Liability, Political Risk and Personal Accident Health. You will not need to have experience in all these areas but the more you have the more suitable you will be. The role encompasses a mixture of claims handling and project management tasks, which include:
- Investigate and resolve claims in line with company procedures to ensure best practice is followed at all times
- Manage own caseload of claims and manage all internal and external correspondence efficiently
- Support and help develop the claims strategy to achieve the companies short and long term goals
- Manage estimates and billings with brokers and clients
- Uphold and build relationships with clients and customers, ensuring all correspondence issues are well documented
- Attend Underwriter pitches when required
- Attend market meetings when necessary
- Assist in helping train junior staff when required
The successful candidate will need to be confident in handling complex worldwide speciality claims. They will need to have experience working in the Lloyds market and be used to handling their own caseloads of claims. You will need to to be driven, keen to learn and adaptable to deal with the fast paced environment. This role can be client facing at times so you will need to be interpersonally strong and technically sound with experience using ECF, CLASS, Word and Excel.
