Claims Analysis Manager

Full Job Description

To aid the design and implement reporting and analysis to ensure that claims benefit initiatives are accurately and effectively tracked, challenged, trended and reviewed. To understand and monitor performance of claims strategic initiatives through key benefit driver analysis and linking performance back to operational behaviours.

To lead forums for discussion, interrogation and challenge of claims benefit delivery with Exec Senior Management within the Category, Corporate Actuarial, Category Central Finance, and Claims Operational Management.

To influence and support these stakeholders in understanding and interpreting key performance metrics to ensure appropriate Exec and Senior Management recognition of business issues and to drive business improvement through tactical and strategic development opportunities.

To influence and support strategic operational change activity through the provision of finance-orientated expertise and relevant data analytical modelling into the Claims Leadership Team, Claims Performance Meetings, and other change programmes to ensure that correct decisions are taken to enhance the business and deliver on its financial and commercial objectives.

To ensure that the Exec and Senior Management team has sufficient, accurate and appropriate management information, business intelligence and insights on which to evaluate its claims performance and base key business decisions.

A strong analytical background is key, the successful candidate will be hungry for knowledge and possess a curiosity to go beyond crunching numbers to truly identify and deliver big benefits to the Claims business.

You`ll need to be aware of what`s happening on the ground within the business, to identify where benefits can be delivered to drive positive organisational change in key initiatives such as BI and Fraud.

A good working knowledge of manipulating data; Access databases, SAS (desirable, but not essential), Excel and Powerpoint is also preferred.

A background in insurance claims is desirable, but not essential, for the right candidate.
